Arthur Liberman created the free CPU temperature monitoring program called Core Temp. Despite being a little tool, Core Temp assists you in keeping track of your Windows PC’s processor temperature and other crucial CPU data. Follow the steps below to install and use this app to check CPU temp in Windows 11:
Install Core Temp App
To install and utilize Core Temp in Windows 11 to check the CPU temperature, keep to the steps outlined below.
Step 1 ====> You need to visit the download page for Core Temp.
Step 2 ====> On the page, locate and click on the Download link to start the download of the most recent version of the program. The application will be installed in the following step.
Step 3 ====> To install the app, click on the file

The temperature of each of the two CPU cores has been presented by the Core Temp app, as can be seen in the screenshot below. The initial core is designated as #0, while the last core is designated as #1. This is significant.
Along with the CPU temperature, Core Temp also shows other important details about the CPU on your Windows 11 computer. For instance, the app shows the number of CPU cores (1).
The software also shows the model of the CPU in addition to the number of cores (2). Additionally, you may view the frequency and CPUID of the processor (3 and 4, respectively).
This tool delivers more important information. Overheat protection, however, is the one I want to call out because I believe it to be the most important.

Step 1 ====> Open or launch the app on your computer
Step 2 ====> Locate and click on the Options button
Step 3 ====> Now, from the displayed options, locate and click on Overheat protection
Step 4 ====> Once it opens; check the enable overheats protection checkbox.

The Open Hardware Monitor App is another piece of software you may use to check the CPU temperature in Windows 11. This tool was created by Michael Möller.
The Open Hardware Monitor and Core Temp apps differ from one another in terms of how they are installed. The Open Hardware Monitor does not need to be installed, but the Core Temp program does.

I already explained that the installation of this software and the Core Temp differs from one another. In addition to this distinction, there is a variation in how the apps provide CPU information, such as temperature.
This software presents data under Clocks, Temperature, and Loads rather than displaying each other’s CPU information separately before the temperature.
We are obviously interested in the CPU temperature in this article.
This app and the one covered in the first section differ in yet another way. Open Hardware Monitor lacks the option to set Overheat protection while the Core Temp software does.
Check CPU Temperature in Windows 11 without Software
The BIOS or UEFI panel in Windows 11 can be used to check the CPU temperature if you don’t want to utilize third-party applications.

Step 1 ====> Open the Start Menu and move your cursor to the Power menu.
Step 2 ====> Press and hold the “Shift” key on the keyboard and click on Restart.
Step 3 ====> Your PC will directly boot into the Advanced Startup screen.
====> Open the Settings app and boot to the Advanced Startup screen from here as well.
====> Press the Windows 11 keyboard shortcut Windows + I to open the Windows Settings app
====> Then, navigate to System and Recovery.
====> Now, click the Restart now button next to Advanced startup.
Step 4 ====> Next, on the Advanced startup screen, locate and click on the Troubleshoot
Step 5 ====> Then, choose UEFI Firmware Settings.
Step 6 ====> When prompted, click on Restart.
Now, you will boot into the BIOS/ UEFI screen of your Windows 11 PC. If you have the modern UEFI interface, the CPU temperature will appear on the homepage itself. For example, my PC displays that the CPU core temperature is 47 degrees Celsius.
