Step 1 ====> Set-Up the Base Station
Setting up your SimpliSafe Outdoor Camera base station is very simple and easy. All you now need is to follow the steps in this article. You will get it done in a very few minutes.
====> Take out the base station box and unpack it. You should have the base unit and a power cord adapter
====> Plug the power cord to the base station. Plugging from the bottom of the device is the best.
====> Take the base unit to your predetermined location
====> Pull out the battery tab
====> Plug in the base station. Again, make sure it’s a dedicated outlet that isn’t connected to a switch. On the other hand, make sure you do not turn it off accidentally by pressing the power button
That is all; you have just completed the first step. If you completed the first step correctly, you should hear a calm voice say Alarm off
Step 2 ====> Set up the SimpliSafe Keypad
Now, we are moving on. Next is the setting of the Keypad. The keypad is what you use to communicate with the SimpliSafe Outdoor Camera
====> Unpack the keypad box; remove the film protecting the screen
====> Now, power on the device by inserting the battery, in that case, the keypad will automatically start searching for the base station so they can pair up.
After the SimpliSafe keypad and base station find one another, then, you will be prompted to set up your master PIN. This number is the key to everything, please keep it safe
====> Set Desire Master PIN: the default PIN is 1234, therefore you need to change it to what people can’t just guess. Make the PIN unique, but something that you can remember.
====> Enter your master PIN: Use the buttons on the keypad to enter the PIN you have selected. When you finish, click the right side of the screen to set it.
Step 3 ====> Install the Keypad
Now that you have set up your master PIN, the keypad is going to prompt you to start installing the sensors. Do not install it that way; rather installs the keypad through its bracket first. You can still take it off and carry it with you later when you install the sensors.
====> Place the keypad in the spot you have designated: On a normal process, it should be at least 10 feet between the keypad and the base station. In my own case, I set it to be about 4 feet
====> Attach the keypad to the wall: Check the back of the keypad bracket, you should have 4- adhesive strips attached. Now peel off the adhesive strips and stick them to the wall

Step 4 ====> Install your Sensors and Devices (SimpliSafe Outdoor Camera)
The 4th step is installing the sensors and devices. In doing, you need to follow this part of the article.
====> Start with one of your entry sensors: Every sensor is labelled individually in inboxes. Entry sensors are doors sensors and window sensors. The others are motion, panic, freeze, glass break, and water sensors. Devices like smoke and CO detectors, panic buttons, and extra sirens are also clearly labelled boxes.
====> Go to the door or window where you want to install the sensor and take it out of the box
====> Follow the installation prompts on the keypad: Your keypad guides the rest of the sensor installation process.
====> Pull out the battery tab
====> Test the sensor. After you remove the battery tab, you need to test the sensor to make sure it is working.
====> Name the sensor. SimpliSafe makes this step easy with suggested names like Front Door, Back Door, etc. To scroll through the names, click on the top or bottom of the keypad screen.
====> Test the placement of the sensor: Before you rip off the covering over the adhesive, make sure you’ve got the sensors lined up correctly.
====> Mark your spot: On this part, we recommend making a line at the top or bottom of the sensor to make it easy to place them back in the correct spot when you are ready to adhere.
====> Place the sensor: After you have tested everything and marked your spot, the only thing left to do is take off the adhesive film and stick it in place
After you have completely installed all of your sensors and devices. Now you need to click the right side of the screen where you see the word Done.
At this point, you have got a SimpliSafe Outdoor Camera security system that’s set up and ready to sound the alarm if someone opens a guarded door or breaks a protected window.
