Sync Contacts From iPhone to iPhone by iCloud Syncing
You can easily to transfer contacts from one iPhone to another by using iCloud syncing. It takes a very little time and all it needs is one apple account signed into both your source and target iPhones at a time. Just do me a favour by follow the steps bellow.
Step 1 ====> Go to the Settings option of your source iPhone (old iPhone)
Step 2====> Tap on your name at the top of the settings screen.
Step 3 ===> Check the Contacts option is toggled on or not from the iCloud option.
Step 4 ====> Then hit merge to upload your contacts on iCloud.
Step 5 ====> You need to use the Apple ID and password on your target phone (new iPhone) and also do the same thing to toggle on the Contacts option from iCloud (Step 1 to Step 4) and wait till your iPhone asks you to merge contacts.
After you choose the Merge option, you will see that existing contacts and previous contacts from the source iPhone will merge on your target iPhone.
Now you need to refresh the contact list which will allow you to find all the old contacts to your target iPhone.
Transfer Contacts by Restoring an iCloud Backup
This is the second method to move contact to a new iPhone. But, you must have backup you data on iCloud before you can use this method. Here are the steps you need to follow:
Step 1 ====> Make sure you are connected to WIFI. This upload will be a big one, so you will want the speed of WIFI.
Step 2 ====> On the old iPhone, go to the Settings. On iOS 9, tap iCloud and skip to step 5.
Step 3 ====> On iOS 10 and up, tap your name at the top of the screen.
Step 4 ====> Tap iCloud.
Step 5 ====> Then tap iCloud Backup.
Step 6 ====> Move the iCloud Backup slider to on/green.
Step 7 ====> The iPhone will upload data to iCloud, including contacts.
Step 8 ====> On the new phone, go to Settings and tap General.
Step 9 ====> Now tap Reset.
Step 10 ====> Then tap Erase All Content and Settings. This will erase any data that is on the new iPhone, so make sure you back up everything on the new iPhone.
Step 11 ====> Now tap Restore from iCloud Backup.
Step 12 ====> Sign into your iCloud account (it should be the same as your Apple ID), if asked.
Step 13 ====> Then select the backup you just made of the old iPhone from the Choose Backup menu.
Step 14 ====> Finally, follow the onscreen prompts to finish restoring the iPhone and setting it up for use.
Transfer iPhone Contacts Using iTune
Another way to transfer iPhone contacts is using the iTune. If you could not use iCloud, then iTune is the best option to transfer contacts between iPhones.
Step 1 ====> Connect your old iPhone into your Computer or Mac and open iTunes. Though it is advisable to use the latest version of iTune.
Step 2 ====> Select your iPhone from the menu bar (you should see a little phone icon to the right of the Music/Films dropdown), click Info in the left hand bar and make sure Sync Contacts is enabled.
Step 3 ====> Click Sync to sync your iPhone and all its contacts with your Computer or Mac.
Step 4 ====> Once this is complete, disconnect your old iPhone and replace it with your new iPhone
Step 5 ====> Now go to iTunes, select your iPhone from the menu bar, click Info and be sure that Sync Contacts is enabled or activate.
Step 6 ====> Then scroll down to the Advanced menu, and make sure Contacts is selected under the Replace information on this iPhone sub-menu. This will erase any contacts currently stored on your iPhone and replace them with your Computer or Mac contacts, which should be the contacts from your old iPhone if you followed the first three steps above.
Step 7 ====> Click Sync to apply the settings and transfer contacts to your new iPhone.
