If you lose your phone or mistakenly delete contacts later, then you need not to worry, you can then restore lost contacts on Gmail by Restore Contacts feature on your account.
Backup Android Contacts to Gmail on PC
On like using your Android phone, before importing contacts to Gmail on your computer, you need to transfer the contacts from the Android to PC. You might be wondering how will you do that, here is how to go about it.
Export contacts from Android to PC:
Here you need storage devices. On the Android phone, tap Contacts menu button on the options tap Import/Export and then to Export to USIM Card/ storage and finally tap OK.
Now let dive in to Back up Android Contacts to Gmail on PC. After you have moved your contact to the storage device, let Back up Contacts to Gmail on PC.
Step 1 ====> Log into Gmail, sign in to Gmail with your account and the password.
Step 2 ====> After that, click on the triangle icon and expand the list.
Step 3 ====> Choose “Contacts
Step 4 ====> More and then Import”.
Step 5 ====> Then choose “GO TO OLD CONTACTS and Import Contacts”. Your contacts will be imported as VCF format.
Select and Import Contacts to Gmail which lead to the next step
Step 6 ====> Select contacts in VCF/VCard format in your computer. Then click Open. On the pop up that comes up select Import as shown bellow.
Step 7 ====> Check your Gmail account, you can see all the imported contacts displayed in the list.
